Steve van Os
Arletta Pharma Solutions has appointed Steve van Os, M.D., as Chief Medical Officer.
The appointment comes as the biopharmaceutical company advances the clinical development of innovative therapies for female sexual disorders, including preparations for the proposed U.S. Phase II Monarch study of its lead investigational therapy, Lybrido™, for women with Female Sexual Interest/Arousal Disorder (FSIAD) and Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD).
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. van Os will lead Arletta's medical strategy, oversee clinical development and study execution, manage safety activities, and direct regulatory interactions as the company expands the development of Lybrido™ across the United States and Europe.
Dr. van Os brings more than 20 years of global leadership experience in clinical development, medical affairs, and regulatory strategy across oncology, urology, women's health, endocrinology, and hepatology. He currently serves as Head of Medical Affairs at Millicent Pharma and Chief Medical Officer at UPyTher, while also providing strategic consulting through Van Os Medical Consultancy on clinical development and regulatory matters.
Previously, Dr. van Os served as Chief Medical Officer at Antev Limited, where he directed medical strategy, patient safety, clinical development, and regulatory activities for teverelix in prostate cancer and urology. During his tenure, he completed the Phase II prostate cancer study report, supported two Investigational New Drug (IND) applications, and co-authored three peer-reviewed publications.
Earlier in his career, Dr. van Os spent more than a decade at Astellas Pharma, including as Senior Director of Global Development Oncology. He led the global clinical development and registration of Xtandi (enzalutamide) for prostate cancer across more than 100 countries and worked closely with regulatory agencies including the FDA, EMA, PMDA, and CFDA. He also held senior leadership positions at Organon, Schering-Plough, and Yamanouchi.
Dr. van Os earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. His appointment reinforces Arletta Pharma Solutions' leadership as it advances innovative treatments addressing unmet needs in women's sexual health.
