Julie Dehaene-Puype
Kyowa Kirin International, a subsidiary of Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd., has appointed Julie Dehaene-Puype as President for the International Region.
She succeeds Jeremy Morgan, who has led the region since 2023. Morgan will continue supporting the organization as an advisor through the end of 2025, working closely with Dehaene-Puype to ensure a smooth leadership transition and sustained business momentum.
Julie Dehaene-Puype brings over 25 years of global pharmaceutical expertise, spanning general management, commercial operations, regulatory affairs, and new product development. Her extensive experience includes leadership roles at several major pharmaceutical companies such as Mundipharma, Takeda, Merck/MSD, and Schering-Plough.
In addition to her corporate accomplishments, she also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Lytix Biopharma, contributing strategic guidance to the company’s oncology-focused pipeline.
A highly accomplished professional, Julie holds a PharmD, a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, and a Master’s in Biological and Medical Sciences from the University of Lille, France. Her international career has taken her across France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the United States, enriching her global perspective and leadership style. Based in Switzerland, she will be frequently present at KKI’s regional headquarters in Marlow, UK, as well as across country offices within the International Region.
This leadership appointment aligns with significant structural changes across Kyowa Kirin globally. Earlier this year, the company introduced a new dual CEO-COO leadership model to strengthen operational execution, with Abdul Mullick appointed President and COO. Julie’s addition reflects Kyowa Kirin’s commitment to reinforcing its regional leadership as it continues scaling its global specialty pharmaceutical business.
