Laura Hamill Elected to the Board of Directors of Jazz Pharmaceuticals

Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc has announced the election of Laura Hamill as an independent director to its Board of Directors.

With 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Hamill brings extensive executive leadership and global commercial operations expertise to the board. Her election aligns with Jazz’s ongoing commitment to board renewal and follows the earlier appointment of Patrick Kennedy this year. During the Annual General Meeting held today, shareholders also re-elected Kenneth O'Keefe and Mark Smith for additional terms.

"We are thrilled to welcome Laura to the Board," said Bruce Cozadd, Chairperson and CEO of Jazz Pharmaceuticals. "Her vast commercial and industry experience, along with her proven track record with dynamic, multinational companies, perfectly aligns with Jazz's mission to create value for shareholders. I am confident that Laura's expertise will enhance the capabilities of our existing Board as we strive to transform the lives of patients and their families."

Most recently, Ms. Hamill served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Commercial Operations at Gilead Sciences, Inc. from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, she held various executive roles at Amgen Inc. from 2002 to 2018, including Senior Vice President of U.S. Commercial Operations and Senior Vice President of the Intercontinental Region, where she managed operations across 26 countries. Additionally, she has held positions as Vice President of U.S. Corporate Accounts and Reimbursement and Vice President of International Marketing and Business Operations in Zug, Switzerland. Currently, Ms. Hamill sits on the boards of Y-mAbs Therapeutics Inc., BB Biotech, and Unchained Labs, a privately held company.

"I am impressed by the global talent within Jazz and the strength of its business," said Ms. Hamill. "I look forward to collaborating with my fellow Board members and the company’s management to guide future growth, delivering sustained value to shareholders and making a meaningful impact for patients."

As previously announced, effective today, Peter Gray and Catherine Sohn, Pharm.D., have retired from the Jazz Board. The Board now consists of twelve directors, five of whom have been appointed in the last five years.

"I want to extend my gratitude to Cathy and Peter for their outstanding service and commitment to Jazz," Mr. Cozadd added. "Both have been invaluable members of our Board and have played crucial roles in our transformation and ongoing growth. We are grateful for their dedication and wish them well in their future endeavors."
