Henriette Mersebach
LEO Pharma has appointed Henriette Mersebach as a member of its Board of Directors.
She will serve as the second board representative of the LEO Foundation, following her appointment to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in June 2026.
Mersebach brings more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience spanning global drug development, R&D strategy, and enterprise leadership. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President of Research & Development at ALK-Abelló A/S, where she was a member of the Executive Leadership Team and led the company’s R&D and innovation strategy.
Before joining ALK-Abelló, Mersebach held several senior leadership positions at Novo Nordisk, including Corporate Project Vice President for Rare Disease & Advanced Therapies and Project Vice President in Global Development.
Her experience includes global product development, portfolio management, business development and M&A, regulatory strategy, and board-level reporting and governance. She holds an M.D. and Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Copenhagen.
Her appointment adds extensive pharmaceutical R&D, drug development, and strategic leadership experience to LEO Pharma’s Board of Directors.
