Dr. Jenny Xie
Harbour BioMed, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on antibody therapeutics, has appointed Jenny Xie, Ph.D., as Chief Scientific Officer, Immunology and Head of Global External Innovation.
Based in Shanghai, she will report directly to Jingsong Wang, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer.
In her new role, Dr. Xie will lead Harbour BioMed’s global external innovation strategy in immunology, overseeing strategic collaborations and identifying new partnership opportunities. She will also manage operations at the Harbour BioMed–AstraZeneca Innovation Lab in Beijing, supporting joint research and development initiatives.
Dr. Xie brings more than 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with deep expertise in immunology research and early-stage drug development. Prior to joining Harbour BioMed, she served as Executive Director and Head of Discovery Immunology at Bristol Myers Squibb, where she led research programs in autoimmune diseases and contributed to the discovery and clinical advancement of innovative therapies. Earlier, she held scientific leadership roles at Merck & Co., Inc., building extensive experience in early-stage research and translational science.
Dr. Xie holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from Boston University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Fudan University.
Her appointment strengthens Harbour BioMed’s global innovation capabilities and reinforces its commitment to advancing next-generation immunology therapies through strategic partnerships.
