Yaohui Ji

BioDuro, a leading global Contract Research, Development, and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO), has appointed Yaohui Ji as its Global President, CMC, marking a strategic leadership move to accelerate the company’s growth and strengthen its fully integrated service model. 

In this pivotal role, Ji will oversee BioDuro’s global chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) operations, guiding strategic planning, scaling global capabilities, and advancing the company’s development and manufacturing excellence.

With nearly 20 years of experience across top-tier pharmaceutical companies and world-renowned CDMOs, Ji brings a strong track record in operational transformation, commercial growth, and technology innovation. His professional journey spans leadership roles at Roche US, Novartis China, WuXi STA, and Porton Pharma Solutions, positioning him as a seasoned leader in both Western and Asian markets. 

Most recently, Ji served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Porton, where he led a US$300 million global small-molecule CDMO division comprising over 1,500 employees across the U.S., Europe, and China. Under his leadership, the division achieved a remarkable three-year CAGR exceeding 50%, driven by a well-executed global expansion strategy.

Ji is also credited with transforming Porton from a traditional CMO into a fully integrated CDMO through the development of a world-class technology platform supported by more than 100 scientists and engineers. His scientific background further strengthens his leadership, holding a Master’s degree from Brown University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. He is also the holder of three international patents and has authored several publications in pharmaceutical R&D and compliance management.

Ji’s appointment signals BioDuro’s commitment to accelerating its integrated CRDMO capabilities and advancing global innovation in drug development and manufacturing.
