Ali Soleymannezhad
Cellares, the world’s first Integrated Development and Manufacturing Organization (IDMO), has appointed Ali Soleymannezhad as Chief Commercial Officer to lead global commercial strategy and support the company’s next phase of expansion as it prepares for a future IPO.
In this role, Soleymannezhad will drive enterprise partnerships and commercial growth as Cellares deploys its network of IDMO Smart Factories across the United States, Europe, and Japan.
Soleymannezhad brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling global commercial organizations around advanced life science platforms. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at MaxCyte, where he led global sales, business development and licensing, marketing, product management, and field applications.
During his tenure, he expanded platform adoption across the US, Europe, and Asia and secured strategic enterprise partnerships with leading biopharmaceutical companies. Prior to MaxCyte, he was Executive Vice President at Tosoh Bioscience, where he directed global strategy and P&L and secured long-term supply agreements that embedded Tosoh’s technologies into critical bioprocessing workflows.
At Cellares, Soleymannezhad will focus on securing multi-year, multi-program partnerships that anchor sponsors’ cell therapy portfolios on the company’s IDMO Smart Factories. His appointment comes at a pivotal time, as manufacturing scalability and cost-efficiency remain key barriers to global access for cell therapies.
Cellares offers a unified manufacturing model through its automated Cell Shuttle™ platform, the first end-to-end cell therapy manufacturing system to receive the FDA’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology designation. As Chief Commercial Officer, Soleymannezhad will oversee global enterprise sales, business development and licensing, and strategic marketing, helping partners accelerate clinical development, reduce manufacturing risk, and expand patient access worldwide.
Soleymannezhad holds an MBA from Rice University and engineering degrees in chemical and biochemical engineering from Western University.
