Jason O’Byrne
Olema Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing targeted therapies for breast cancer and other indications, has appointed Jason O’Byrne, MBA, as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. O’Byrne brings more than two decades of finance and global operations leadership experience across biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He joins Olema from Vir Biotechnology, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing Finance, Investor Relations, and Information Technology.
Previously, Mr. O’Byrne served as Chief Financial Officer of Caribou Biosciences, where he led various financial and capital markets initiatives, including the company’s initial public offering. Before Caribou, he was Senior Vice President of Finance at Audentes Therapeutics, where he oversaw financial due diligence and integration related to its $3 billion acquisition by Astellas Pharma.
Earlier in his career, Mr. O’Byrne spent more than a decade at Genentech and Roche in progressively senior finance leadership positions spanning clinical development, commercial operations, and global operations.
Mr. O’Byrne holds an MBA in Finance, with distinction, from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
