Daniel J. O’Connor
Jubilant Therapeutics Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel small-molecule modulators for oncology and autoimmune diseases, has appointed Daniel J. O’Connor as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. O’Connor brings more than three decades of leadership experience across biotechnology and oncology, with a strong track record of building value around differentiated, intellectual property–driven platforms. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Ambrx Biopharma, where his leadership significantly increased the company’s valuation and ultimately led to its successful acquisition.
Earlier in his career, Mr. O’Connor played a key role at ImClone Systems, where he contributed to the clinical development, launch, and commercialization of a major oncology therapy. During this period, he was also deeply involved in navigating complex intellectual property and inventorship challenges, helping to protect and maximize the value of the company’s scientific assets.
Mr. O’Connor has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Advaxis, a NASDAQ-listed immuno-oncology company. There, he led the transformation of the organization into a late-stage clinical enterprise, raised significant growth capital, and established strategic collaborations with leading global pharmaceutical partners. His experience spans corporate strategy, clinical development, financing, and partnering, making him well-suited to guide Jubilant Therapeutics through its next phase of growth.
Mr. O’Connor holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Penn State Dickinson Law of The Pennsylvania State University.
