Drew Burch
Primrose Bio, Inc. (“Primrose”) has appointed Andrew “Drew” Burch as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of the Board of Directors.
Drew succeeds Helge Zieler, PhD, who will transition into a new role as Chief Technology Officer after leading Primrose since its formation in September 2023 and overseeing the development of its industry-leading manufacturing technologies.
Drew brings extensive experience in commercializing biomanufacturing technologies and a strong record of leading high-growth organizations in the biopharmaceutical sector. Most recently, he served as President of Nucleic Acid Production at Maravai LifeSciences.
Earlier, Drew held multiple leadership roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, including President of Patheon Softgels CDMO, President of European Drug Product CDMO, President of Instrument and Enterprise Services, and head of Licensing and Commercial Supply. He also served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Thermo Fisher’s Life Sciences Solutions group.
Drew began his career advising healthcare companies on mergers and acquisitions at Barclays, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch, bringing a combination of strategic, operational, and financial expertise to his new role at Primrose.
This leadership transition positions Primrose Bio to continue advancing its innovative biomanufacturing technologies while driving growth and value creation in the biopharmaceutical industry.
