Chris Guiffre
NodThera, a clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering NLRP3 inhibition to transform the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases, has appointed Chris Guiffre, J.D., M.B.A., as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across the biotechnology, life sciences, and technology sectors, Chris brings extensive expertise in corporate strategy, finance, and business operations.
His appointment strengthens NodThera’s financial and operational leadership as the company advances its innovative clinical programs targeting inflammatory and neuroinflammatory conditions.
Before joining NodThera, Chris served as Interim CFO at Vizgen and previously as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Auron Therapeutics, where he also held CFO responsibilities. He has also served as CFO and COO of Pear Therapeutics, playing a key role in taking the company public, and as Chief Business Officer (CBO), CFO, COO, and CEO at Cerulean Pharma, where he similarly led the company through its public offering.
Earlier in his career, Chris held senior executive roles, including President & CEO of Alvos Therapeutics, CBO of Hydra Biosciences, and Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at Cubist Pharmaceuticals. He began his corporate career as Vice President, General Counsel & Clerk at Renaissance Worldwide.
Chris holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School, an M.B.A. from the Boston College Carroll School of Management, and a B.S. from Babson College. In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Management at Bentley University, where he teaches strategy.
His appointment marks a key milestone in NodThera’s growth trajectory, reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing breakthrough therapies for chronic inflammation.
