Matthew Dallas
Syntis Bio has appointed Matthew Dallas as Chief Financial Officer, further strengthening its executive leadership team as the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advances the development of novel oral therapeutics targeting the small intestine.
Dallas brings more than 25 years of financial leadership and management experience across the life sciences industry.
In his new role, Dallas will oversee Syntis Bio's financial strategy, capital planning, and corporate finance initiatives, supporting the company's continued growth and clinical development efforts.
Before joining Syntis Bio, Dallas served as Chief Financial Officer at Pulmocide, where he led the company's capital strategy, finance, and investor relations activities. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer at Zealand Pharma, a biotechnology company focused on developing peptide-based medicines for metabolic disorders, including diabetes and obesity.
Earlier in his career, Dallas held CFO positions at AVEO Oncology and CoLucid Pharmaceuticals. During his tenure at CoLucid Pharmaceuticals, he played a key role in leading the company's initial public offering and its subsequent acquisition by Eli Lilly and Company, demonstrating his expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, and strategic transactions.
Dallas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from University of Tennessee, Knoxville and currently serves on the university's Finance Department Advisory Council.
His appointment reflects Syntis Bio's commitment to building a strong executive team with deep financial and operational expertise. With extensive experience in fundraising, investor relations, and financial leadership at biotechnology companies, Dallas is expected to play a key role in supporting the company's long-term strategy and the advancement of its innovative therapeutic pipeline.
