Patrick Lucy
Wheeler Bio, an agile contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has appointed Patrick Lucy as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Patrick brings over 32 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with a strong track record of leading growth and driving successful company milestones. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of RoslinCT US (formerly Lykan Bioscience), a cell therapy contract manufacturer based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and Edinburgh, Scotland. Under his leadership, Patrick successfully launched Lykan and, within 19 months, facilitated its sale to GHO Capital, delivering a successful exit for the private equity investors. Following the acquisition, GHO integrated Lykan and RoslinCT, strengthening their market position.
Earlier, Patrick was a founder and Senior Vice President & Chief Business Officer at Pfenex Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company spun out from The Dow Chemical Company in 2009 and acquired by Ligand Pharmaceuticals in 2020 for up to $516 million.
Patrick’s extensive experience also includes leadership roles at Repligen Corporation, Celltech Biologics, Lonza Biologics, and Collaborative BioAlliance, reflecting his deep expertise in biomanufacturing and strategic business development.
His appointment reinforces Wheeler Bio’s commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence in CDMO services, further strengthening its capabilities in the rapidly evolving biotechnology sector.
