David P. Kerstein
Delphia Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company pioneering the emerging field of activation lethality, has appointed David P. Kerstein, M.D., as Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
The appointment strengthens the company’s leadership team as it advances the development of therapies designed to exploit cancer’s vulnerability to oncogene overactivation.
Dr. Kerstein brings extensive experience in oncology drug development, with a track record spanning both early-stage research and late-stage clinical programs in precision oncology. As Chief Medical Officer, he will lead Delphia’s clinical development strategy and support the advancement of the company’s therapeutic pipeline.
Prior to joining Delphia, Dr. Kerstein served as Chief Medical Officer at IDRx, a clinical-stage precision oncology company that was acquired by GSK in 2025. Before IDRx, he held the role of Chief Medical Officer at Theseus Pharmaceuticals and previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Anchiano Therapeutics.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Kerstein held senior leadership positions in oncology clinical development at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, where he served as Senior Medical Director in Oncology Clinical Research and Lung Cancer Clinical Portfolio Strategy Lead. He also served as Senior Medical Director of Clinical Research at ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, where he led the clinical development of ALUNBRIG®, a targeted therapy for lung cancer. Following Takeda’s acquisition of ARIAD, he continued to contribute to the advancement of oncology programs within the organization.
Dr. Kerstein’s experience also includes serving as Director of Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs at Boston Biomedical, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma, where he helped guide oncology development initiatives and regulatory strategies.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University.
With Dr. Kerstein’s appointment, Delphia Therapeutics aims to further strengthen its clinical leadership as it advances its activation lethality platform and develops novel therapies for patients with cancer.
