Dominic Borie
Cue Biopharma, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing transformative therapies for immune-mediated diseases, has appointed Dominic Borie, M.D., Ph.D., as its Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research & Development.
In his new role, Dr. Borie will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Shao-Lee Lin, M.D., Ph.D., and will lead the company's research, clinical development, and medical strategy.
Dr. Borie brings more than 20 years of experience in immunology, clinical development, and biotechnology leadership. Most recently, he served as Strategic Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Kyverna Therapeutics, where he previously held the positions of President of Research & Development and founding Chief Executive Officer. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Horizon Therapeutics, Genentech, Amgen, and Roche, overseeing the advancement of innovative immunology programs from early-stage research through global clinical development. Before joining the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Borie directed the Transplantation Immunology Laboratory at Stanford University and practiced as a transplant surgeon in Paris, France.
As Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research & Development, Dr. Borie will help advance Cue Biopharma's clinical pipeline, including the Phase 2 CUE-221 program for chronic spontaneous urticaria, with topline data expected in the third quarter of 2026. The company also plans to initiate a Phase 1 clinical trial of CUE-401, its first-in-class bifunctional IL-2 and TGF-β therapy for autoimmune diseases, by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026. These programs are supported by a recently completed US$50 million private financing to accelerate clinical development.
