Philippe Alen
AbolerIS Pharma, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, has appointed Philippe Alen as its Chief Business Officer (CBO).
With more than 25 years of experience in business development, licensing, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and alliance management across both biotech and large pharmaceutical companies, Philippe will be responsible for driving AbolerIS’s strategic partnerships, financing activities, and corporate growth initiatives.
In his new role, he will lead the company’s business development and corporate strategy functions, collaborating closely with the executive leadership team to leverage AbolerIS’s deep immunology expertise into impactful collaborations and value-creating transactions.
Philippe holds a PharmD and PhD from the University of Leuven and an MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia. His career includes leadership roles at major life-sciences organizations such as Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Bayer, and Galapagos NV, as well as board service at Fibrocor Therapeutics.
Throughout his career, Philippe has developed a strong track record in search and evaluation, licensing, M&A, equity investment, and alliance management, with broad therapeutic expertise spanning infectious diseases, vaccines, cardio-metabolic conditions, women’s health, oncology, and immunology.
His appointment underscores AbolerIS Pharma’s commitment to accelerating strategic growth and advancing its mission to deliver transformative therapies for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.
