Paul O'Neill
Mallinckrodt plc announced the appointment of Paul O'Neill as Executive Vice President, Quality & Operations, Specialty Brands, effective immediately. Previously serving as Senior Vice President of Quality & Operations for the same division, O'Neill will continue to oversee internal and external manufacturing, supply chain distribution, device engineering, quality, technical services, and product support. Additionally, he will join Mallinckrodt's Executive Committee.
O'Neill has been a driving force behind several key initiatives within the Specialty Brands division since joining the company. With more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing operations, technology transfer, plant start-ups, and supply chain management, he has held leadership roles at prominent biopharmaceutical companies such as Merck, Pfizer, and Wyeth. Before joining Mallinckrodt in March 2023, O'Neill served as Executive Director of Biologics Operations at Merck, where he led the supply strategy for Keytruda.
"Paul has been critical in transforming the performance of our Specialty Brands portfolio, building a high-performance culture in the Quality & Operations organization, and preparing for the launch of key products like the INOmax® EVOLVE™ DS Delivery System and Acthar® Gel (repository corticotropin injection) Single-Dose Pre-filled SelfJect™," said Siggi Olafsson, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are thrilled to have him assume a larger leadership role within the company as a member of our Executive Committee."
