Michael Rosenblatt
Ferring Pharmaceuticals announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Rosenblatt to its Board of Directors, where he will serve as Chairman of the Board Research and Development and Production Committee.
Dr. Rosenblatt succeeds Dr. Jan Lundberg, who is stepping down from the role.
With an extensive background in biopharmaceutical research and development, Dr. Rosenblatt has held key positions throughout his career. He joined Flagship Pioneering in 2016 as Chief Medical Officer and has served as an advisor to several companies in its ecosystem. He previously held leadership roles at Merck, including Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, overseeing multiple R&D programs during his tenure from 1984 and later returning from 2009 to 2016.
In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Rosenblatt has held a series of prominent academic positions, including Dean of Tufts University School of Medicine, Robert H. Ebert Professor of Molecular Medicine, and George R. Minot Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He also served as President and Senior Vice President for Academic Programs at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and directed the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Dr. Rosenblatt is an accomplished scientist, holding 19 patents and authoring more than 180 peer-reviewed publications.
