Dr. Cheryl Pegus
Boston Scientific Corporation has announced the appointment of Dr. Cheryl Pegus to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Pegus brings over 25 years of clinical and business leadership experience to the role. She most recently served as a partner at Morgan Health, where she focused on enhancing the quality, accessibility, and affordability of healthcare. Her previous executive positions include Executive Vice President of Health & Wellness at Walmart, President of Consumer Solutions and Chief Medical Officer at Cambia Health Solutions, and Chief Medical Officer at Walgreens. Earlier in her career, Dr. Pegus held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson’s diabetes division, SymCare Personalized Health Solutions, as well as Pfizer and Aetna.
With a strong background in cardiology, Dr. Pegus began her career in private practice and has served as board chair for the Association of Black Cardiologists. She currently sits on the board of the American Heart Association and co-founded A New Beat, an organization focused on improving cardiovascular health and career opportunities for women and underrepresented minorities. Dr. Pegus holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College, and an M.P.H. from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
