Keli Walbert
Hemab Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing therapies for blood coagulation disorders, has appointed Keli Walbert to its Board of Directors.
Walbert will also join the Board’s Audit Committee, succeeding Akshay Vaishnaw, MD, PhD, who will continue serving as a member of the Board.
Walbert brings more than 20 years of commercial leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Her background spans sales and marketing, market access, patient services, advocacy and analytics across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including immunology, rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, nephrology, neurology and metabolic disease.
Most recently, Walbert served as Executive Vice President, U.S. Commercial at Horizon Therapeutics, where she was responsible for commercial strategy and organizational development across more than 10 marketed brands.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at AbbVie, the American Medical Association, Abbott and UnitedHealthcare. Her commercial experience includes leading the launches of HUMIRA, TEPEZZA and DUOPA.
Walbert has received recognition including the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association’s Luminary Award and an MM+M Women of Distinction Award for her contributions to the healthcare industry.
She holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville.
Her appointment adds extensive commercial, market access and product launch experience to Hemab’s Board as the company continues advancing its clinical-stage programs in blood coagulation disorders. Walbert’s experience across multiple therapeutic areas and commercial functions will also support the Board’s oversight as Hemab progresses its development programs and broader business strategy.
