John C. King
Dianthus Therapeutics, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on advancing next-generation antibody complement therapeutics for severe autoimmune diseases, announced key additions to its leadership team.
John C. King has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer, a newly established role that underscores the company’s commitment to building a robust commercial strategy. Additionally, Sujay Kango, a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive, has joined the Company’s Board of Directors.
Mr. King brings over 25 years of global commercial experience in biotechnology, with deep expertise in complement inhibitor therapies targeting rare neuromuscular and hematologic conditions. His career includes leadership roles at Wyeth, Alexion Pharmaceuticals - where he spearheaded the launch of Soliris® for generalized Myasthenia Gravis - and Ra Pharma, where he helped shape the commercial strategy for a C5 complement inhibitor prior to the company’s US$2.5 billion acquisition by UCB.
Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Vor Bio, driving commercial planning for engineered cell therapies in blood cancers. Mr. King holds a B.S. in Business Logistics and an M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
Joining the Board of Directors, Mr. Sujay Kango brings over 26 years of pharmaceutical and biotech leadership. He has held executive roles across public and private companies, including serving as President and CEO of Tmunity Therapeutics, which was acquired by Gilead Sciences in 2023. Previously, he was EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Acceleron Pharma, contributing to its US$11.5 billion acquisition by Merck & Co. Mr. Kango has been instrumental in launching multiple blockbuster therapies including Reblozyl®, Nexavar®, Kyprolis®, Peg-Intron®, and Remicade®.
