Dr. Linda Genen
GeneDx, a leader in advancing health outcomes through genomic insights, has appointed Linda Genen, MD, MPH, as Chief Medical Officer.
This appointment reinforces GeneDx’s commitment to accelerating genomic-first care and delivering earlier diagnoses and improved outcomes for patients and families worldwide.
In her new role, Dr. Genen will oversee Medical and Clinical Affairs and lead GeneDx’s clinical strategy. She will play a central role in driving the adoption of genomic medicine across health systems, payer organizations, policymakers, and the broader medical community. Working closely with the GeneDx executive leadership team, Dr. Genen will support the integration of genomics into routine clinical care and help ensure equitable access to genomic testing and insights. She will also guide real-world evidence initiatives, lead payer engagement efforts, and collaborate across innovation, commercial, and policy teams to scale the impact of genomic medicine.
Dr. Genen brings decades of leadership experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare innovation, payer strategy, and maternal-infant health. She joins GeneDx from ProgenyHealth, a national, technology-enabled women’s healthcare company focused on maternity and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) management. As Chief Medical Officer at ProgenyHealth, she led clinical strategy, analytics, and quality initiatives that improved outcomes for mothers and infants across diverse populations.
