Dr. Ian Y. Liu
Harbour BioMed, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel antibody therapeutics in immunology and oncology, has appointed Dr. Ian Y. Liu as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Legal.
Dr. Liu will be based in the U.S. and will report directly to Dr. Jingsong Wang, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Harbour BioMed.
Dr. Liu brings extensive legal expertise to Harbour BioMed and will be responsible for overseeing business development transactions, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and managing the company’s global intellectual property strategy. He will also handle U.S.-related legal affairs, including prosecution, litigation, and supporting the company’s growth in the U.S. market.
Prior to joining Harbour BioMed, Dr. Liu held significant legal roles at renowned law firms such as Finnigan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP and K&L Gates, LLP, specializing in patent applications, litigation, and due diligence. He also served as Head of Legal and Governmental Affairs at Simcere Pharmaceutical, where he successfully managed complex legal matters and commercial negotiations.
Dr. Liu holds a Bachelor of Science from Fudan University, a Ph.D. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
