Acadia Pharmaceuticals Appoints Konstantina Katcheves as Senior Vice President, Chief Business and Strategy Officer

Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. has appointed Konstantina (“Tina”) Katcheves as Senior Vice President, Chief Business and Strategy Officer. 

In this role, Ms. Katcheves will oversee business development and corporate strategy, serving as a member of Acadia’s Executive Leadership Team and reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Catherine Owen Adams.

Ms. Katcheves brings more than 20 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, with a strong track record in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and innovation leadership. She most recently served as Senior Vice President, Global Business Development at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where she drove expansion of Teva’s innovative medicines pipeline and built key internal and external capabilities to support long-term portfolio growth.

Prior to Teva, Ms. Katcheves held senior executive roles at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), including Interim Head of Enterprise Strategy and Business Development. During her tenure, she led the US$14 billion acquisition of Karuna Therapeutics and spearheaded more than US$18 billion in announced transactions, advancing both near-term revenue opportunities and long-term pipeline innovation. Earlier in her career, she held strategic leadership roles at Agilent Technologies and Lonza Group, gaining broad expertise across healthcare and life sciences.

Ms. Katcheves holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego.

Her appointment underscores Acadia’s commitment to accelerating business growth and advancing innovative therapies for patients worldwide.
