Veteran Donn Casale
ARS Pharmaceuticals has appointed Donn Casale as President, further strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues expanding its commercial presence in therapies designed to protect patients from severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
Richard Lowenthal will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer.
Casale brings more than 25 years of commercial leadership experience across the biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in scaling innovative healthcare products in large consumer-focused markets. He will work closely with the executive leadership team to drive the company’s commercial strategy and organizational growth initiatives.
Most recently, Casale served as Chief Commercial Officer at Dynavax Technologies, where he played a key role in building the company’s U.S. commercial infrastructure and accelerating the growth of the hepatitis B vaccine HEPLISAV-B®. Under his leadership, the product achieved more than US$300 million in annualized revenue and secured over 50 percent market share in the United States. He also developed an innovative retail pharmacy strategy that contributed to the product’s strong commercial momentum ahead of Sanofi acquiring Dynavax in a US$2.2 billion transaction.
Earlier in his career, Casale held commercial and marketing leadership roles at Assertio Therapeutics and spent 14 years at Merck & Co. in progressively senior positions across the company’s U.S. vaccines business. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University.
