Dr. Ken Kramer
Helus Pharma™, a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on developing novel serotonergic agonists (NSAs) to support mental health innovation, has appointed Dr. Ken Kramer, PhD as Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs.
Dr. Kramer brings more than 20 years of experience in medical affairs leadership across neuroscience programs, with a strong track record in global launch readiness, evidence generation, and engagement with key opinion leaders. In his new role, he will lead Helus Pharma’s medical affairs strategy as the company advances its clinical-stage
Most recently, Dr. Kramer served as Vice President and Head of Medical Neuroscience at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he led an integrated medical strategy team responsible for the successful launch of the first new treatment for schizophrenia in over 70 years.
Prior to that, he was Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Karuna Therapeutics, where he built and scaled medical capabilities during a period of rapid organizational growth and supported the company through its acquisition. Earlier in his career, Dr. Kramer spent over a decade at AbbVie and its predecessor organizations, leading U.S. psychiatry medical affairs teams and contributing to multiple successful product launches. He began his career in academic medicine as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.
Dr. Kramer holds a PhD in Neuropharmacology from New York University, an MS in Neuroscience, and a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester.
