New Drug for NASH with Liver Fibrosis Treatment Launched
Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has recently introduced resmetirom, a groundbreaking drug designed to treat individuals diagnosed with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) accompanied by liver fibrosis.
Recognizing its potential, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted breakthrough therapy designation to this medication.
Furthermore, Madrigal has announced the completion of patient enrollment for the outcomes segment of the Phase 3 MAESTRO-NASH biopsy trial.
In order to establish the safety and effectiveness of resmetirom in NASH treatment, Madrigal is currently conducting four Phase 3 clinical trials.
These trials include MAESTRO-NASH, MAESTRO-NAFLD-1, MAESTRO-NAFLD-OLE, and MAESTRO-NASH-OUTCOMES.
