Wilmington PharmaTech Invests $50 Million to Double U.S. API Manufacturing Capacity
Introduction
Wilmington PharmaTech, a U.S.-based contract research, development, and manufacturing organisation (CRDMO), has announced a $50 million expansion of its Delaware campus. The project aims to more than double the company’s small-molecule API production capacity, strengthening domestic manufacturing for complex therapies.
Features
Two additional 10,000-litre reactor suites will be installed, significantly increasing commercial-scale production capacity.
The expansion is expected to roughly double the site workforce to support increased operations.
The new suites will enable large-scale production of small-molecule APIs and peptides, building on Wilmington’s expertise in HPAPI and complex chemistries.
The new reactor suites are expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2027.
