Samsung Biologics to Begin Construction of a New US$1billion Manufacturing Facility

Samsung Biologics will invest US$1billion to build a manufacturing facility in Songdo, South Korea.
Features:
The second Bio Campus of the company will be built on Plant 5, the newest addition of the Samsung Biologic family.
The planned facility will be enormous, measuring 96,000 square metres (1,033,335 square feet), or thereabouts. Its 180,000-litre product storage capacity makes it the perfect size and shape for a variety of industrial applications.
When Plant 5 is completed, the CDMO will be able to generate 784,000 litres of product per day.
With a variety of cutting-edge digital and environmentally friendly technologies, the new facility is expected to improve operational efficiency.
Operations at the new plant are expected to start in 2025.
