Resilience and Lilly Expand Ohio Manufacturing Facility with US$750 Million Investment
Introduction
Resilience, a technology-driven contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has expanded its strategic partnership with Eli Lilly and Company to increase domestic production of complex medicines in Ohio. The expansion involves a combined investment of US$750 million by Resilience and Lilly to enhance advanced manufacturing capabilities in the Cincinnati region.

The expanded manufacturing campus will add new production capabilities and create at least 400 high-skilled jobs, increasing Resilience’s total workforce created in Ohio to more than 1,400 employees across its facilities.
The investment builds on a manufacturing partnership established in 2023, through which Resilience and Lilly have already produced more than 150 million doses of medicines for US patients in vial and pre-filled syringe formats.
The expanded operations will further develop one of the largest sterile injectable manufacturing networks in the country.
Resilience’s Cincinnati-area operations currently include two advanced manufacturing facilities covering nearly 1 million square feet of space.
The company’s Ohio operations support manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and operational activities, reinforcing the state’s growing role in life sciences and biomanufacturing.
The expansion is expected to improve production capacity, strengthen medicine availability, and support the development of a skilled biopharmaceutical manufacturing workforce in Ohio through collaboration with regional economic development organisations.
The facility expansion will also support the production of Lilly’s KwikPen injectable device, used for innovative treatments in diabetes and obesity care.
