Piramal Pharma Solutions Expands U.S. ADC Manufacturing with New Payload-Linker Suite

Introduction

Piramal Pharma Solutions has expanded its U.S. manufacturing capabilities with the launch of a new payload-linker development and manufacturing suite at its Riverview, Michigan facility. The expansion is part of the company’s broader $90 million investment strategy focused on strengthening domestic manufacturing for advanced therapies, including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and bioconjugates.

Features

The newly established suite is intended to enhance the company’s ADC development and manufacturing operations through upgraded infrastructure and specialised production capabilities.

The facility is equipped with modern containment technologies, automated systems, and enhanced analytical tools to support the safe processing and scalable manufacturing of highly potent compounds.

With more than 60 years of experience in drug substance manufacturing, the Riverview site plays an important role in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPIs).

The site also supports the company’s integrated ADCelerate™ platform for early-phase ADC development.

The expansion is expected to help accelerate development timelines for pharmaceutical partners while addressing rising industry demand for ADCs and other targeted therapies.

In addition, the investment strengthens supply chain reliability and further expands the company’s integrated development and manufacturing presence in the United States.
