Novartis Strengthens US Operations with $23B Radioligand Therapy Expansion

Introduction:

Novartis has announced plans to build a 46,000‑square‑foot radioligand therapy (RLT) manufacturing site in Denton. This will be the company’s fifth RLT site in the United States and its first manufacturing facility in Texas, supporting Novartis’ ongoing $23 billion US investment programme.

Features:

The Denton facility is designed specifically for RLT production, which is a next-generation approach to cancer treatment.

The facility will create jobs in bioengineering, advanced manufacturing, quality assurance, and operations, contributing to the local economy in Denton and surrounding areas.

RLT doses are custom-made and time-sensitive, so having multiple facilities across the country ensures that treatments can be delivered to patients quickly and efficiently.

The Denton radioligand therapy manufacturing site is expected to be fully operational in 2028.
