Merck Invests more than US$130 million for Manufacturing Facility Expansion in France

Introduction:

Merck has invested more than US$130 million to improve its production capabilities for single-use assemblies in Molsheim, France.

Features:

The expansion will boost production capabilities for single-use assemblies from the Mobius® portfolio.

By the end of 2024, the 37,000 square feet of ISO7 clean rooms, the administrative building, and the new logistics warehouse should all be operational. Full production will then progressively ramp up until 2028.

Merck previously had a single-use assembly production unit that cost US$25 million when added in 2021. The company manufactures the product at its first facility in Europe, which is located in Molsheim.

Additional production facilities are situated in Wuxi, China, and Danvers, Massachusetts, in the United States.
