Global pharmaceutical company Lupin has announced plans to build a new advanced manufacturing facility in Coral Springs, Florida. The investment, projected at $250 million over five years, will strengthen domestic production of essential respiratory medicines and support the healthcare needs of American patients.

The new plant will be built on a 5-acre site and will cover 70,000 square feet. It will have the capacity to produce more than 25 critical respiratory medicines, including albuterol inhalers for asthma treatment, serving both routine healthcare needs and large-scale emergency demand.
The project is expected to create over 200 skilled, long-term jobs in Broward County. In addition, the facility will improve domestic supply chain resilience and ensure affordable access to vital medicines.
Lupin will also receive state tax incentives and work closely with local government, workforce development programmes, and industry partners to support the project.
The Coral Springs facility will strengthen Lupin’s presence in Florida, enhance the state’s life sciences sector, and contribute to reliable access to respiratory therapies nationwide.
The project is part of Lupin’s long-term strategy to expand manufacturing capabilities, support innovation, and meet patient needs efficiently.
The facility is expected to be completed by 2030.
