ESTEVE CDMO Invests $15.5 Million to Expand Chicago Small Molecule API Facility

ESTEVE CDMO has launched a $15.5 million expansion of its North American facility in Morton Grove, Illinois.

The upgrade includes reactor enhancements, such as the addition of powder transfer systems, distillation tanks, jacket insulation, and a single thermal fluid circuit.
These improvements will broaden the reactors’ operational temperature range from -15°C to +140°C and simplify validation under GMP conditions.
Cleanroom and ancillary equipment will also be upgraded, incorporating a computer-based supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system to monitor, control, and record manufacturing processes in real time.
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems will safeguard the operation of critical quality control laboratories.
The expansion is expected to be completed by 2026.
