Chiesi Invests €430 Million in New Facility to Advance Therapeutic Manufacturing
Introduction:
Chiesi Group has announced a significant investment to establish a new manufacturing facility in Nerviano, Milan. This initiative forms part of the company’s wider industrial strategy aimed at supporting international growth and advancing sustainable healthcare solutions.
Features:
The project will cover 124,000 square meters, and the facility will serve as an international hub for respiratory treatments and will contribute to Chiesi’s efforts to reach net-zero emissions by 2035.
The upgraded site will feature over 3,000 square meters of modern laboratory space and include a photovoltaic system to support energy self-sufficiency. A 20,000-square-metre green area next to the site is also set to be regenerated as part of the plan.
In addition to technological and environmental advancements, the new facility is expected to generate approximately 300 jobs by 2029.
