Alcami Constructs New cGMP Biostorage Facility in the USA
Introduction:
Alcami is set to start the construction of a new 65,000-square-foot cGMP storage facility in North Carolina, USA.
Features:
This new facility will make use of the leading biostorage systems and procedures from Alcami's Masy division. It will also have high levels of redundancy in order to safeguard customer-owned materials.
The services encompass a broad range of cGMP pharmaceutical storage conditions, such as pallet racking in ambient conditions, walk-in chambers with a temperature range of +5°C to -80°C, and LN2 cryogenic storage.
The project will be finished in stages, starting with ambient temperature-controlled shelving in the middle of 2023 and moving on to other storage conditions in the latter half of 2023 to the beginning of 2024.
Masy has been at the forefront of biostorage for more than a decade, offering cGMP temperature storage for vaccines, biopharmaceuticals, cell banks, tissues, pharmaceutical compounds, raw materials, components, and medical equipment from ≤ -135°C to 70°C, including all ICH stability conditions.
This expertise will be used in the planning, construction, and management of the center in North Carolina.
