Measuring Patient Engagement Summit Europe

Tuesday, October 28, 2025

As patient engagement becomes a cornerstone of clinical, regulatory, and access success, Europe’s life sciences community is preparing to tackle one of its biggest challenges yet: how to measure its true impact. From 2–4 December 2025, senior leaders from across pharma, biotech, and patient advocacy will meet in London for the Measuring Patient Engagement Summit Europe, the first event of its kind dedicated to defining and proving the value of patient engagement.

Hosted by Hanson Wade, the summit will unite experts from organisations including Pfizer, Roche, Takeda, UCB, Bayer, Sanofi, GSK, Novo Nordisk, and PFMD to share practical approaches for moving beyond activity and towards measurable outcomes. Discussions will focus on frameworks, case studies, and digital tools that demonstrate how engagement drives better science, stronger access strategies, and improved patient experiences across the product lifecycle.

“Patient engagement has matured, but measurement remains our biggest challenge,” said Hayley Chapman, Senior Program Director at PFMD. “This summit is about creating the shared language and evidence base that will let us show the true value of working with patients as partners.”

Speakers will explore how early patient input can reduce trial attrition, accelerate development, and influence payer and regulatory decisions. Sessions will feature real-world insights into quantifying patient experience data, aligning engagement with ESG and CSRD frameworks, and translating lived experience into business and clinical impact.

“Being able to measure patient engagement isn’t just about compliance — it’s about accountability and smarter development,” added Emma Sutcliffe, Chief Patient Officer at ISPEP and Chair of the Summit. “This meeting comes at exactly the right time for Europe to lead the way in evidence-based patient partnership.”

The event will take place at the Hilton London Olympia, from 2-4 December, 2025. For more information or to register, visit www.measuring-patient-engagement-summit-europe.com.
