Evaxion expands its preclinical bacterial vaccine portfolio in collaboration with a leading pharmaceutical company

Evaxion Biotech A/S (NASDAQ: EVAX) (“Evaxion” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in the development of immunotherapies based on on AI, today announced the launch of a new research program, EVX-B3, an AI-engineered vaccine candidate against an undisclosed bacterial pathogen. The new vaccine project is part of a collaboration between Evaxion and an undisclosed leading pharmaceutical company leveraging the unique assets and know-how of both organizations.

To develop an effective vaccine, Evaxion has launched identification activities for EVX-B3 using its two AI platforms EDEN™ and RAVEN™ to identify protective antigens capable of eliciting both a humoral response (antibody ) and cellular to the pathogen. EVX-B3 aims to solve a serious global medical problem, by targeting a pathogen associated with repeated infections, increasing incidence as well as often serious medical complications, and for which no vaccine is currently available. This project is part of a collaborative effort that will be co-financed by the two companies.
