Willow and a Leading Innovator in Biopharmaceuticals Collaborate on Developing Eco-friendly Intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients

Willow Biosciences Inc. has recently entered into a collaboration with a biopharmaceutical company listed on Nasdaq. The aim of this partnership is to develop more sustainable manufacturing processes for important intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
The biopharmaceutical company recognized the need to adopt greener manufacturing methods to produce intermediates and APIs with reduced costs and waste. They turned to Willow for their expertise in developing and scaling key ingredients. The initial phase of the collaboration will focus on assessing the feasibility of creating a biobased pathway. If successful, this would lead to further development efforts towards implementing this approach on a commercial scale. The identity of the partner remains confidential due to competitive reasons.

This collaboration is the fifth development agreement initiated by Willow in 2023, reflecting the company's active engagement in forming potential partnerships.
