TetraScience Collaborates with Thermo Fisher Scientific to Advance Scientific Data and AI in Laboratories

Tuesday, January 13, 2026

TetraScience has announced a collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific aimed at accelerating the use of artificial intelligence across biopharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing. The initiative focuses on transforming scientific data into AI-ready formats and enabling intelligent, scalable laboratory workflows.

As the cost and complexity of developing new therapies continue to increase, biopharmaceutical companies are increasingly adopting Scientific AI to improve productivity and reduce development timelines. However, the value of AI depends on access to structured, AI-native scientific data. This remains a major challenge due to fragmented laboratory environments, where instruments and software from different suppliers produce incompatible data formats and workflows.

TetraScience addresses this issue through its vendor-agnostic Scientific Data Foundry and Scientific Use Case Factory, which convert experimental data from multiple instruments into standardised, AI-enabled workflows that can be deployed at scale.

Under the collaboration, TetraScience will integrate Thermo Fisher Scientific’s laboratory instruments and informatics solutions to help unlock the full value of scientific data. Combined with Thermo Fisher’s AI capabilities, Tetra AI will connect data and workflows to support scientific decision-making and generate insights across research and manufacturing. The joint approach is expected to improve reproducibility, increase throughput and support scalable therapy development.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing Scientific AI through interoperable and industry-aligned solutions. Initial efforts will focus on high-impact scientific workflows at selected global biopharmaceutical organisations, several of which already use solutions from both companies. This existing adoption provides a foundation for broader rollout across the industry.

In addition, the companies will work together to deliver integrated offerings for customers across biopharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing, supporting faster scientific progress and wider adoption of AI-driven laboratory operations.
