TegMine Therapeutics Collaborates with Boehringer Ingelheim to Advance 2-Factor Antibody System for Cancer
Wednesday, September 24, 2025
TegMine Therapeutics, a biotechnology company specialising in precision oncology, has entered a research and development collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim. The partnership will use TegMine’s proprietary 2-Factor Antibody System to create more selective and better-tolerated antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
The agreement begins with a programme targeting a clinically validated antigen, with the possibility of expanding to two additional targets. TegMine’s TegMiner™ platform identifies novel, tumour-specific glycan epitopes that are not detectable through conventional methods. Its 2-Factor Antibody System requires dual glycan and protein recognition, offering higher therapeutic precision and aiming to reduce on-target, off-tumour toxicity.
Under the collaboration terms, TegMine will receive an upfront payment, research funding per target, and option fees for additional targets. The company is also eligible for milestone payments across preclinical, clinical, regulatory, and commercial stages, along with royalties on future net sales. Boehringer Ingelheim will hold global development and commercial rights for any therapies developed through this partnership.
