SynSmart and Amporin partner to advance small molecule therapies for degenerative diseases

SynSmart Rasayan Research Private Limited has entered into a collaboration with Amporin Pharmaceuticals AG to develop small molecule therapies aimed at treating severe degenerative diseases.
Under the agreement, SynSmart will create a broad library of new membrane-protective compounds at its research plant in Mumbai. After initial screening, the partnership may expand to include further chemistry work and studies in areas such as ADME-PK. The aim is to speed up progress towards selecting suitable drug candidates.
The collaboration is expected to support faster screening, optimisation and selection of potential disease-modifying therapies across multiple targets. It will also help assess the wider potential of Amporin’s drug development platform.
