Salipro Biotech and Daewoong Pharmaceutical Enter Research Partnership to Develop New Therapeutics

Salipro Biotech AB, a biotechnology company based in Sweden, has signed a research agreement with Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of South Korea. Through this collaboration, Daewoong will access Salipro Biotech’s proprietary Salipro® platform, which is used to stabilise difficult membrane proteins such as GPCRs, ion channels, and transporters.
The focus of the partnership is to target a specific membrane protein, supporting Daewoong’s efforts to develop new small molecule drugs. The agreement allows Daewoong to utilise Salipro Biotech’s platform and scientific knowledge to enhance its drug discovery programmes.
This collaboration is Salipro Biotech’s first in South Korea, highlighting the global relevance of its technology in supporting the development of medicines against complex and previously hard-to-target proteins.
