Revolution Medicines and Iambic Form AI-Driven Research Collaboration to Advance Drug Discovery

Revolution Medicines, Inc. and Iambic Therapeutics have announced a multi-year technology and research collaboration aimed at identifying new drug candidates using artificial intelligence (AI). The partnership combines Revolution Medicines’ oncology expertise and proprietary data with Iambic’s AI-powered drug discovery platform.
As part of the agreement, Iambic will develop customised versions of its NeuralPLexer model, designed for protein-ligand structure prediction, using data and molecular libraries provided by Revolution Medicines. The collaboration will also involve the use of Iambic’s PropANE model, which evaluates key drug properties to aid in lead selection and optimisation.
Both companies will have access to the improved AI models developed through the collaboration. Each retains rights to pursue a set number of exclusive drug targets, with the option to designate additional targets for independent development.
Under the terms of the deal, Iambic is set to receive up to $25 million, comprising upfront payments, near-term milestone payments, and research and development reimbursements.
This partnership is intended to accelerate the discovery of innovative therapies, particularly in areas of oncology that are difficult to address using traditional drug development methods.
