REALM IDx Introduces REALM Pharma Services to Enhance Drug Development and Research

Friday, June 02, 2023

REALM IDx made an announcement today regarding the introduction of REALM Pharma Services. This new service aims to provide a complete solution for biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners, covering discovery, translational research, and clinical trial services. By integrating the research arms of its subsidiaries, Ambry Genetics and Invicro, REALM Pharma Services will offer advanced genomics, traditional and molecular pathology, as well as cutting-edge imaging and spatial biology. With the inclusion of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) from REALM's informatics organization, the company believes that this end-to-end service will enable the discovery of new insights and the development of multi-dimensional models for drug discovery and validation.

CEO of REALM IDx, Dr. Aaron Elliott, expressed excitement about the comprehensive program that has been tailored to meet the specific needs of biopharma partners. He views the integrated approach offered by REALM Pharma Services as a transformative shift in research that will provide data-driven insights for precision medicine.

In recent years, the use of advanced omics techniques, including single-cell omics, has become increasingly prevalent in the biopharma industry, particularly in cancer research. This approach enhances the understanding of the complexity of biological systems in immuno-oncology and facilitates the assessment of drug efficacy. However, a significant challenge has been the lack of a consolidated infrastructure that not only supports analytical testing and data collection but also enables computational analysis of unique datasets to uncover novel associations and translational insights.

Dr. Jonathan Usuaka, Chief Strategy and Informatics Officer for REALM IDx, emphasized the company's role as a powerful connecting force in supporting biopharma partners. In addition to offering world-class genomics, pathology, spatial imaging, and analysis services, REALM also incorporates real-world data and advanced analytics to inform drug development at all stages.

REALM will officially introduce REALM Pharma Services during the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual conference in Chicago from June 3 to June 5. The company will also share details about a comprehensive genomic profiling test (CGP) for cancer, developed in collaboration with its partners in Japan, which is set to launch in the summer. More information about REALM Pharma Services can be found on the company's website.
