Polpharma Biologics and MS Pharma Sign Licence Agreement for Biosimilar Candidates Vedolizumab, Ocrelizumab and Guselkumab

Polpharma Biologics has entered into a licence agreement with MS Pharma for the commercialisation of three biosimilar candidates – vedolizumab (PB016), ocrelizumab (PB018) and guselkumab (PB019).
Under the agreement, MS Pharma will manage regulatory submissions, sales and distribution across the MENA region. Polpharma Biologics will continue to oversee development, manufacturing and supply. Both companies have also agreed to transfer formulation and final packaging to the MENA region, with these processes set to take place at MS Pharma’s new biopharmaceutical plant in Saudi Arabia.
Vedolizumab is used for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, ocrelizumab for multiple sclerosis, and guselkumab for plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
The partnership is expected to increase patient access to high-quality, affordable biosimilars in the region.
