Lupin and Tenpoint Therapeutics partner to commercialise YUVEZZI™ across European markets
Friday, August 21, 2026
Lupin Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, VISUfarma B.V., has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Visus Therapeutics Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tenpoint Therapeutics Holding Limited.
Under the agreement, VISUfarma will hold exclusive rights to manage regulatory activities, commercialisation, marketing, promotion, distribution and sales of YUVEZZI™ (carbachol and brimonidine tartrate ophthalmic solution) 2.75%/0.1% in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
YUVEZZI™ is an ophthalmic treatment indicated for presbyopia in adults. VISUfarma will also make a strategic investment in Visus. Tenpoint and Visus will be eligible for regulatory and commercial milestone payments, along with tiered royalties based on net sales.
The partnership strengthens Lupin's specialty care strategy and expands its ophthalmology portfolio across key European markets. The addition of YUVEZZI™ is expected to support the company's focus on differentiated treatments for unmet patient needs in eye care.
YUVEZZI™ is the first and only approved once-daily dual-agent eye drop for presbyopia. The product recently received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration, with Tenpoint progressing its commercialisation in the United States.
Tenpoint has also submitted a marketing authorisation application in the UK through the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency's International Recognition Procedure. The company plans to pursue regulatory applications for YUVEZZI™ in other key markets worldwide.
The agreement further expands the global reach of YUVEZZI™ through regional partnerships and strengthens Lupin's presence in specialty ophthalmology.
