IQVIA and SCRI Partner to Speed Up Global Cancer Trials
Saturday, May 17, 2025
IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, has entered into a strategic partnership with SCRI Development Innovations, the clinical research division of the Sarah Cannon Research Institute. This collaboration aims to improve the way oncology trials are carried out across the world, helping to deliver new cancer treatments to patients more quickly.
By combining IQVIA’s global capabilities with SCRI’s specialised experience in community-based cancer research, the partnership will streamline clinical trial processes, remove operational barriers and fast-track data collection. This will support the faster development and availability of advanced therapies for patients.
IQVIA contributes its experience in managing a significant share of oncology trials in the United States, along with its ability to integrate data, technology and analytics. SCRI Development Innovations brings its operational model, Accelero, which helps speed up trial set-up and recruitment at its sites across the U.S. The Accelero model also allows for smoother data transfer from electronic health records to trial databases, improving the overall efficiency of trial data management.
Together, IQVIA and SCRI aim to offer biopharmaceutical companies a more efficient and coordinated approach to conducting oncology trials. The goal is to reduce the time it takes to bring innovative treatments to market and ultimately improve outcomes for patients.
The collaboration will be showcased at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, taking place from 30 May to 3 June in Chicago. IQVIA will be present at Booth 14103 and SCRI at Booth 27022 to provide further information about their joint efforts to advance cancer research.
