InSysBio Extends Collaboration with discoveric bio alpha to Support Alzheimer's Antibody Development

Thursday, June 26, 2025

InSysBio, a global leader in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modelling, has announced the extension of its partnership with discoveric bio alpha, a biotechnology company developing next-generation antibody technologies for Alzheimer’s disease.

In the initial phase of the collaboration, the two companies jointly developed a mechanistic model to predict the concentration of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and their target occupancy in the cerebrospinal fluid. The expanded project will now focus on applying this model to support the first-in-human study of NIDB-3101. The approach will incorporate cynomolgus monkey to human translation, as well as reference published clinical data, to inform study design.

The extended collaboration aims to generate predictions that will assist in dose selection, including identifying both the starting and pharmacologically active doses. This will help optimise the early clinical development of the candidate therapy.

Both InSysBio and discoveric bio alpha will continue to work closely to advance antibody development for Alzheimer's disease using QSP-based strategies that enable more efficient and informed decision-making in early-phase clinical studies.
